Sarah Ulmer Visit on PhotoPeach

Jacque's science fair project

I worked really hard on this and had a great day fishing while doing it. My hypothesis was proven incorect I thought the orange lure would work best and that the hooks would catch the least fish. In conclusion the hooks came out on top. Says Jacque.

Senior Speeches

In class, we have been working hard writing speeches. We got to choose our topic and worked over two weeks to construct, recraft and learn our speeches. Miss P was very proud of the effort made my all. The following students made the semi finals - Grace, Jemma, Lily, Angus, Olivier, Jacque, Mihi and Nathanael. On Thursday last week, Olivier, Angus, Jacque, Grace, Mihi and Nathanael participated in our Year 5/6 speech finals. Room 3 had fantastic results!!! Nathanael came first with his speech on 'To takeaway or not to takeaway?' Mihi came 3rd equal with Braden with her speech on Mrs Donnelly and Olivier came second in this Year 6 competition with his speech on Soccer! Great results everyone and thank you to our fantastic judges, Ms Mac & Mrs Bodle.

ORAL HEALTH VISIT

Today we had a visit from the Oral Health Lady, Leanne Bodle. We learnt some very important messages related to our teeth. For example, did you know that -We should clean our teeth twice a day -Sugar and plaque create acid which rotts the enamel on the outside of our teeth -We should brush our teeth in circular motions or up and down -You shouldn't rinse your mouth after washing and you only need a pea size bit of tooth paste! Thank you Leanne Bodle from the Gisborne Hospital for coming to talk to us, we learnt heaps!

WACKY HAIR DAY!!!

Today, we had Wacky Hair Day. Wacky Hair Day is to raise money for Autism Awareness. Here are some of our wacky 'out of this world' do's...
